Kimi no Nawa (Your Name) (2016)

This movie is my FAVORITE movie of all time, it is so important to me!! I watched this movie for the first time when I was a freshman in high school, and it literally changed my life. This was the movie that made me want to live in a city. The story is set in Tokyo, and I live in New York now! The music is stunning, and every frame of the movie could be its own painting. The story is also so so good?? Like the humor...the drama...I have so much love for this movie!

Spirited Away (2001)

The first movie I have ever seen! Tons of nostalgia from this one. My sister used to play Joe Hisaishi's music all the time in the house, and "One Summer's Day" remains one of my favorite songs to this day. The art style, music, and story are all so unique to Ghibli and remind me of my childhood. You really care for Chihiro and grow to love this quirky group of characters. This movie still brings me to tears.

Funny Girl (1968)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE MUSICAL!! It's Barbra Streisand, like, come on!! That's awesome! My favorite song in the show is People and it makes me want to dance around New York and pretend I have a fur coat and sing my little heart out. Don't Rain on My Parade is so iconic, and the final scene with My Man is one of the best scenes in cinema ever, in my opinion...actually, that's a fact. I watched this movie when I was 15, but I don't think I really understood it until I was in college. It became my favorite movie to watch with a glass of wine in hand.
